Responsibilities

  • Participate in customer meetings to understand goals, pain points, and constraints
  • Recommend observability migration and instrumentation strategies
  • Execute customer projects using our tools and bring back learnings to the development team
  • Evangelize best practices for observability that are rooted in experience
  • Help our product team infuse best practices into the product — including code contributions

You may be a good fit if you are:

  • An SRE or DevOps engineer with 5–10 years of experience using observability to manage incidents and optimize real-world, large-scale applications
  • Experienced in configuring and managing observability tools in production
    (OpenTelemetry and DataDog experience is required)
  • An expert in observability best practices with a track record of setting and spreading policies across orgs
  • A hands-on coder to help develop the product and execute pilots
  • A strong advocate with great communication skills to work directly with customers

Strong candidates may also have:

  • A working knowledge of AI/ML tools and experience using LLMs for coding or IT admin
  • A desire to push the field forward with novel ideas and products
  • Experience working with customers (internal or external)
  • A team-oriented, collaborative mindset

Qualifications, Logistics & Traits

  • Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field
  • Lives in or willing to relocate to the Bay Area
  • Comfortable working in-office 3+ days per week
  • Organized and detail-oriented, with the mindset to learn by doing
  • Adaptable and eager to learn new technologies and tools
